CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant to join a chemicals manufacturing company at their site based near Northampton on a full time, permanent basis. The Company: Our client is a manufacturer of specialist chemicals including aromas and fragrances. The role will include preparing fine fragrance, personal care and household application samples for customer briefs. Location: This Laboratory Assistant is located near Northampton, commutable by road from surrounding areas including Kettering, Wellingborough, Corby, Rugby etc. Laboratory Assistant Role: Your main duties will be to: Maintaining and updating stock of fragrances. Maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory environment and good laboratory practices. Accurately dispensing fragrance oils in a clean and safe manner to finished products, meeting the deadlines required from the project initiator, salesperson, perfumer or Laboratory Manager. Regular maintenance of the fragrance library in a neat & tidy manner in order that contamination of fragrance oils can be prevented. Transferring finished samples to agreed deadlines to project initiator according to quality guidelines. Assist in maintaining stock levels of all laboratory consumables, jars, bottles etc. Your Background: The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience: Graduate or studying toward a relevant qualification in a related science field will be an advantage but not essential. Good communication at all levels. Olfactory capabilities. Good computer literacy. Good time management and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work under pressure, in a team or as an individual.
