Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Eurofins BLC is a leading international life sciences company, providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Northampton, UK.

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for the management of the laboratory's accreditation to ISO 17025, including internal audits, reporting of monthly quality metrics to Eurofins Group and Senior Management Team. This role will also involve the management of accreditation to ISO 17065 as the appointed lead, overseeing the certifications accreditation with the team of evaluators and the Certification Assessment Manager.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the laboratory's accreditation to ISO 17025, including internal audits and reporting of monthly quality metrics.
  • Manage accreditation to ISO 17065 as the appointed lead, overseeing certifications accreditation with the team of evaluators and the Certification Assessment Manager.
  • Implement Quality Management System (QMS) processes and ensure compliance is upheld with the Quality Manual.
  • Control all documents relating to the QMS, including supplementary procedures, laboratory forms, uncertainty of measurement budgets, in-house methods, laboratory books, quality documents, and standard operating procedures.
  • Member of the Quality Management Group (QMG), preparing resources for weekly quality meetings.
  • Plan quality assurance activities, review results, and take subsequent action.
  • Undertake impartial investigations of opportunities for improvement and customer complaints.
  • Make unbiased decisions on behalf of the quality team and present report findings to the QMG.
  • Identify skills gaps through audits and follow up by either training staff or identifying an appropriate resource to train.
  • Engage staff with the QMS and nurture a positive culture of quality.
  • Monitor and review the performance of the internal LIMS and CRM software and action/notify the relevant support team(s) as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree educated in a science-related subject.
  • Good understanding of a testing laboratory and the equipment used.
  • Proven experience with LIMS and ideally experienced with system installation, configuration, SQL, and analysis.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Word, and knowledge of Power BI for reporting metrics.
  • Good time management and a positive can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-organized and excellent attention to detail, as quality is core in everything we do.
  • Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.
