Provide basic lung function investigations independently. Produce technically satisfactory results in accordance with local health and safety policy. To assist with delivering the sleep apnoea diagnostic service and CPAP service. To analyse and present results to the Lead Clinical Respiratory Physiologist for reporting, highlighting any untoward results / incidents.
Provide the Patient Nebuliser Loan Service. Liaise with a range of clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure an effective service is delivered. Work with the Lung Function Laboratory administrator to ensure the administrative aspects of the service are covered at all times including. Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times in line with current policies.
Calibrate, maintain and clean equipment (adhering to infection control policy). Be fully conversant with departmental computer systems after initial training. Maintain own continuing professional development.
