A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Islington, London, is searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to join their warm and welcoming team. This is a long-term, full-time position that offers you the chance to contribute to a dynamic learning environment and help shape the education of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a vital role in supporting both teachers and students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will be leading classes in the absence of the teacher, assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons, and providing support to children who may need extra help in catching up with the curriculum. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary setting.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, with experience supporting both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• A passion for education and a commitment to helping every child reach their potential.
• Support the class teacher with the preparation and implementation of lesson plans.
• Work with small groups or individual pupils, offering tailored support to those with additional needs.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
• The school offers a supportive and encouraging work environment with opportunities for professional development. The school is easily accessible by public transport and is located in a vibrant area of Islington, known for its parks, cafes, and community spirit.
