Quality Control Field Technician

The Quality Control Field Technician will be responsible for supporting all aspects of quality control under the supervision of project managers, supervisors or scheduling coordinators.
# Inspect the quality of construction and construction materials (aggregates and asphalt).
# Execute tests in the field or laboratory on construction materials to assess their quality.
# Prepare and collect Aggregates and asphalt samples for laboratory testing.
# Perform compaction testing by Nuclear Densometer.
# Ensure accuracy of test data.
# 3-5 years of HMA and granular testing required. Civil Engineering Technology / Construction Management would be considered an asset, however not required. CCIL Certification for Asphalt or Aggregate would be considered an asset, however, not required. Previous industry experience in quality control, manufacturing, asphalt lab or other lab environment would be an asset, however, not required. Knowledge of ASTM/CCIL/MTO LS testing procedures would be an asset. Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Power point would be an asset. Full-time hours in the construction season. Flexibility needed to work shifts that may include nights, and weekends when required. Valid driver’s license.
