LANXESS UK is now recruiting a Customer Service Representative to work in our Sudbury location on a 12-month contract. This is an onsite role Monday- Friday, based in Sudbury (CO10 2XD).

About the role

Working on site at our Sudbury office, you will work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure the smooth processing of all orders from initial request through to invoicing. As a Customer Service Representative, you will build and maintain excellent customer relationships, keeping the customer up to date in an honest and trustworthy manner.In this role you will be responsible for all elements of customer orders, including order entry, processing and confirmation, document creation and invoicing. You will also handle overdue payments tracking, credit notes and price adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all UK orders onto the SAP system in a timely manner to allow goods to be despatched before the daily cut off.
  • Create any restock orders and stock returns between onsite and third-party warehouses.
  • Ensure back orders are prioritised once stock is available.
  • Create requests to Master Data Team to ensure accounts are created or amended.
  • Work with Accounts to follow up on overdue payments / forward any remittance advice received directly or information regarding cash in advance payments.
  • Work with third party warehouse provider and monitor invoices ahead of payment process.
  • Ensure all UK invoices are raised for despatched shipments and email/post to the customers.
  • Manage customer enquiries or requests and keep the customer updated on the status of their order or with any related issues. Ensure any promotions are adhered to.
  • Raise credit, debits or returns as required.
  • Action any sample shipments for the UK.

About You

You will be an experienced Customer Service Representative who is confident working on their own and as part of a team. You must have strong interpersonal skills and be an excellent communicator, with professional level English in both written and spoken.

  • Professional ability to handle customer problems and needs.
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills and use of these skills in a demanding and fast paced customer focused environment.
  • High level of accuracy and great attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office.
  • Experience in SAP is preferred but training will be provided.
  • Ability to meet fast paced and changing deadlines through continual prioritisation with the ability to work under pressure.
