We are a leading technical engineering firm based in the Midlands, specializing in delivering innovative engineering solutions across various sectors. We are now seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and drive our growth to new heights.

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, with a strong emphasis on the rail industry. This role demands a proactive, hunter-gatherer mentality and requires frequent travel to meet clients and stakeholders.

Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities to achieve an annual sales target of £6 million.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and assess competitive landscape.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering and project management, to ensure client requirements are met.
Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends to senior management.
Travel: Spend a significant amount of time on the road meeting clients, attending industry events, and expanding your network.

Experience: Proven track record in business development, preferably in the rail sector or a similar engineering environment.
Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the Midlands and beyond as required.
Relevant degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, or related field.

Salary: Competitive salary circa £55,000.
Company car or car allowance.
