PURPOSE OF JOB

To work as part of a team responsible for providing Technical support
functions associated with the delivery of the service area functions.
To manage the technical support function, delivering excellent customer
focused services and lead on and manage all issues relating to technical
support
To lead on the development of, and be the first point of contact on the IT
system used by the service area; for the benefit of the Service Area and
customers.
To establish and develop effective and inspirational relationships
management based on council values an enabler of continuous
improvement
To be responsible for the establishment, monitoring and maintenance and
/or provision of specialist financial/project work relevant to the service
area.
Promote and adopt new ways of working according to need to ensure
consistently high quality service, cost effectiveness and timely service
delivery, being adaptable in response to unplanned priorities.
● To partner with the Team, Service Area, Division and other Council
partners to achieve service area outcomes.
● To make a positive contribution to the development and delivery of a first
class customer – focused service and adding value to the service
delivered, in developing and implementing Best Value and providing
customer-focussed standards in regulatory environment.
● To supervise technical support staff. OR The post holder has a supervisory
role for the Technical Support staff within the Service.

Pay rate: £25.48 per hour umbrella

Three to six months contract with view to extend or make permanent
