Job Description We have an exciting opportunity to be part of the Performance Simulation Group as a Simulator Development Engineer

The current Formula One regulations heavily limit real world testing of a F1 car. This makes the role of unregulated simulation indispensable in the development and optimisation of many areas of a Formula One team, particularly in Performance Engineering. Reporting to the Simulator Development Lead, the role will be focused on the development of the Team’s DIL Simulator capability. The position will involve close cooperation with the Vehicle Model Development Team and the Vehicle Performance Group. Regular contact with Software, Controls, Race Engineering and Aerodynamics departments will be expected.

Development of models for simulator specific subsystems.
Shared responsibility in models correlation and driving experience quality of the simulator.
Coding of simulation, automation and analysis tools.
Development and testing of motion cueing algorithms.
Simulator data logging infrastructure.
Excellent degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science or a related discipline.
Coding experience in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++.
Qualification to postgraduate masters or doctoral level.
Simulator operations and systems (LiDAR data processing, graphics, projection hardware & software)
Modelling experience of mechanical/hydraulic/thermal/electrical systems for dynamic simulations, and model correlation techniques. Modelling software packages (e.g., NET C#, Python, VBA or other programming languages.
