Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Race Engineer to join our Trackside Performance team at Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team that is shaping the future of motorsport. As a Race Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the operation and optimization of our Formula One race cars at race and test events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the group of engineers focused on maximizing performance, taking responsibility for the operation and optimization of one of our Formula One race cars.
  • Develop and implement data-driven analysis and problem-solving approaches to drive performance improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of Performance Engineering within the group, with a focus on aerodynamics, mechanical, and control systems optimization.
  • Lead the development of the wider engineering function, striving for continual improvement of our methods and practices.
Requirements
  • Strong mechanical, automotive, or aerospace engineering degree and experience as a Race / Performance Engineer in Formula One.
  • Be data-driven, with a strong understanding of all aspects of race car performance optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in your own decision-making abilities.
