New Senior Partnership Accounting Manager role available at leading global law firm

As the Senior Partnership Accounting Manager you will take a lead role on helping to scope and structure the partnership accounting team and will have the team in the UK (1 person) and US (3 people) report into you. This will be a hands-on role and as well as having broader strategic responsibilities.

Specific duties include:

  • Partners' services including payment, analysis and reconciliation of partners' drawings, calculation of partner drawings and distributions and preparation of individual partner statements.
  • Monitor partner capital, deal with annual capital call and arranging loan finance drawdown.
  • Calculate and maintain schedules of partners' current accounts in the firm's nominal ledger.
  • Deal with partner related audit and accounting issues.
  • Assisting with Management accounting and budgeting, including preparation and update of budgets and cash flows for partner remuneration.
  • Coaching and training the Partnership Accounts Assistants.
  • Assisting the Partnership Tax Manager in maintaining schedules of partners' tax reserves for inclusion in partner current accounts in the firm's nominal ledger.

Experience needed for the role:

  • Specific senior partnership accounting experience working at a senior/manager level
  • This is a very hands-on role with doing a lot of the day to day but must also be able to have a strategic overview of the team and how it should be structured.
  • Strong people management experience and be able to manage people remotely.
  • Ideally have some international remit as initially this role will be covering EMEA and Asia. Any experience within the US market would be beneficial

  • 3 days in the office / 2 from home. Flexible on the days
  • Bonus c. 9%
