The Scottish Women’s Rights Centre is a unique collaborative project between Rape Crisis Scotland (RCS), JustRightScotland and the University of Strathclyde Law Clinic offering legal and advocacy services to women survivors ofgender based violence in Scotland. RCS seeks to recruit an Administration and Communications Worker for theScottish Women’s Rights Centre project.

This post is funded until 31st March 2025 in the first instance.

Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid provides refuge accommodation, follow-on and outreach services to women, children and youngpeople experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based abuse primarily from the Asian, Black andMinority Ethnic Community.

We are recruiting a Women’s Domestic Abuse Community Worker to support women living in Glasgow’s Northeast andNorthwest locality.

It is essential that you have experience of working with women who have experienced gender-based abuse. A suitablequalification that meets with Scottish Social Services Council housing support registration is required. Thenature of our work requires a commitment to the feminist analysis of domestic abuse and to the values of HematGryffe Women’s Aid. It is essential that you are bilingual and speak English and Hindi, Punjabi, or Urdu.

Would you like to help us improve the lives of women, children and young people who experience domestic abuse in EastAyrshire? Do you have a willingness to learn, share your skills and work as part of a team? If the answer tothese questions is yes, then you might be interested in becoming a Director of East Ayrshire Women’s Aid.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team delivering vital support to vulnerable women, children andyoung people in East Ayrshire. You do not need to know everything there is to know about domestic abuse, but wedo need to know that you are reliable and committed to our principles and values.

The position is voluntary, but we will provide you with training and support and pay your expenses. We meet at leastsix times a year, usually on Saturday mornings. We welcome applications from women from all sections of thecommunity.
