BMW Channel Planning Manager-12 months FTC

As BMW Channel Planning Manager, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

  • Tactical level responsibility for ensuring BMW sales planning is fully optimized for volume, contribution & CoR targets.
  • Tactical level responsibility for the creation of BMW sales planning for BMW and BMWi products across twenty-one current sales channels. Ensures that sales channel plans created meet the strategic needs of BMW UK and are optimised to fully meet volume, contribution and cost of retail targets.
  • Ensures that BMW sales planning is accurate and informed and that all channel plans are deliverable and realistic considering channel- specific targets for volume, mix, cost of retail and contribution.
  • Implements innovative tracking and forecasting mechanisms to measure and assess sales performance across all channels and as an entire BMW UK entity.
  • Tenacious approach to identifying risks and opportunities within current planning. Challenge existing planning and ways of working to assess moving volume, specific products or production between sales channels in order to maximise sales volumes, body-group and engine mix and overall BMW contribution.
  • Define measures with all sales channel owners to increase volume and / or profitability, lead the process to create cost estimates and a business case.
  • Provide main operational link between Sales Planning and Production Planning. Ensure correct flow of production for each channel.

Qualifications/Experience

  • University degree. Preferable in Business Administration and Management or Management Accountancy.
  • Extensive experience in the automotive industry.
  • Understanding of automotive manufacturer sales operations.
  • Requirement to be immediately credible and convincing, able to lobby effectively at a senior level.
