Position Overview:
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Managing Director for Europe. This role involves leading the strategic and operational growth of our client’s European business, overseeing a high-performing team, and driving commercial excellence. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and Head of International.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy for sustainable growth in Europe
- Create annual business plans aligned with overall goals
- Lead and inspire a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
- Ensure team members meet revenue goals, KPIs, and engage in sales initiatives
- Build and develop effective sales and marketing teams
- Oversee the development of geographic, channel, and customer-specific sales plans
- Guide marketing strategies to enhance brand equity and relevance
- Manage negotiations and relationships with wholesalers, partners, and customers
- Ensure site-level operations focus on efficiency, cost-structure, quality, and compliance
- Achieve production targets and manage cost targets, cash flow, and business goals
- Develop and implement effective production strategies and KPIs
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
- Ensure financial metrics are achieved and manage inventory and production costs
- Stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities
- Represent the company as a key opinion leader in the medical cannabis industry

Professional Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years in a senior-level role with P&L management experience

- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with senior leaders
- Comfortable with complex strategy discussions and ambiguity
- Experience in achieving corporate objectives and managing risk
- Proactive, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German, Italian, or French is preferred
- An undergraduate degree in marketing, administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is highly desired
Compensation + Benefits:
- Up to €200,000 and €350,000 base depending on experience
