The company is entering a period of sustained growth both through additional stores, expansion of sales on its online channels and through third party partners both in the UK and globally. Celebrating its 30th anniversary the group has over the years built an enviable position as the specialist in quality fashion footwear and accessories which has given it a unique position at the high end of the high street.
About the role
The Fulfilment Manager will have responsibility for leading the physical operations in both the Retail and International areas to ensure stock is made available to the business in a timely manner and that demand for this stock is fulfilled within the required timelines. To facilitate this the Fulfilment Manager will be responsible for a team of 4 Warehouse Supervisors who oversee the DC operatives.
Currently the Retail and International physical operations are managed as separate entities spanning in excess of 100,000sqft with 30 operatives – however in order to best exploit synergies within the operation it is expected that the Fulfilment Manager will take a holistic view of physical operations within the whole DC.
This position would be ideal for a Shift Manager looking to step up into a senior management role.
Salary c.£40,000 negotiable dependant on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the overall flow of stock through both Retail and International warehouses.
- Lead the team of 4 Warehouse Supervisors, ensuring that they are targeted and developed as necessary.
- Implement processes and ways of working such that synergies can be leveraged across the whole DC and silo working is removed.
- Managing required headcount, with the provision of additional resource as required.
- Controlling DC functions to ensure that all KPI’s and SLA’s are met
- Maintaining the required Health and Safety standards within the operation.
- Deliver a process of continuous improvement by leading and driving change to increase site efficiencies and deliver best service to the business.
- Maintain clear productivity records to both monitor UPH and help drive improvements.
- Ensure all physical DC operations are undertaken in line with audited processes to ensure compliance with HMRC and AEO regulations, as well as in line with the conditions of the DC customs bond.
- Manage costs and expenditure within agreed budgets and take full accountability for operational costs associated with the physical operations
- Present outbound shipments in line with specified customer requirements
- Support other DC departments as required.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience at DC department manager level
- Extensive experience of operating in a Retail DC environment.
- Experience of working with both UK and overseas customers
- Demonstrable ability to develop teams and individuals to maximise their full potential.
- Proven track record in developing operational efficiencies and process improvements within a warehouse environment.
- Strong people management skills.
