London, United Kingdom Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with experience of and passion for working alongside the local community to join our Talking Therapies team.

It is commonly recognised that many people in City and Hackney do not access their GP for support with mild - moderate common mental health care needs. The post-holder will lead on outreach and engagement with these underrepresented communities and increase access to Talking Therapies for people in our borough.

The post-holder will also deliver assessment and evidence based low intensity CBT treatment to a small clinical caseload of clients with mild-moderate common mental health difficulties, in line with step 2 of the stepped care model.

The post is based at St Leonard's Hospital in Hoxton but may involve travel to other community and primary care sites in Hackney. Full-time staff are expected to work on-site two days per week and work remotely three days per week, subject to change depending on service need.

Talk Changes is a well-established service with a commitment to quality and service innovation. You will be joining a team of 35 PWP's, Trainee and Senior PWP's and 40 High Intensity Therapists with ready access to specialist supervision. We also have good links with regional clinical/counselling psychology training courses and substantial in-service training programmes.
Work as part of the Talking Therapies team to help facilitate increased access and treatment for all adults in City and Hackney

Manage and treat a small clinical caseload of clients with mild-moderate common mental health difficulties using low intensity CBT interventions in line with step 2 model and service protocols.

Support the service with outreach and community engagement strategy development and planning

The service has a strong focus on staff wellbeing within the context of IAPT service provision, with opportunities for continued professional development.

Candidates must have a PG Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for adults or equivalent.
