Senior Clinical Practitioner - Waterview Team
We deliver both long term Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) to individuals with high severity and complexity - often with multiple co-morbid conditions and history of high service use.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our small team and in return you will receive specialist training in psychological interventions to enhance your work and your career.

Waterview Centre team members are trained (training can be provided within post) in MBT and DBT models, and need the ability to apply a psychodynamic approach in maintaining therapeutic relationships and co-working within the team.

Facilitate and co-facilitate a range of therapy groups including Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT) and Dialectical Based Treatment (DBT).
To act as Lead Professional for an identified number of service users with severe personality disorder, establishing and maintaining a long-term supportive relationship.
To undertake risk assessments and manage risk as part of the treatment process to maintain a safe and therapeutically sensitive environment for all when faced with threats of verbal abuse, deliberate self-harm and violence to self and/or others.
The service also has a track record of involvement in clinical research and links with the Division of Psychiatry at Imperial College London, including recently hosting a feasibility study for Structured Psychological Support (SPS).

Nursing, Occupational therapy, Social work, Psychology, Psychotherapy).
Training / knowledge of therapies relevant to Personality Disorder, i.e. Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT) and/Or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and application to practice.
Substantial postgraduate training and/or qualifications to diploma level relevant to personality disorder or models of practice.
Post (core profession) qualification experience in mental health including managing a caseload under Lead Professional Care
Ability and experience in risk assessment and crisis management.
