Commercial Director UK

As the Commercial Director, you will report to the Managing Director of UK & Ireland and lead a team of commercial professionals. Your key mission is to expand market presence and lead commercial strategy across the region through strong customer relationships and a high-performing Key Account Management structure. Based at our Heathrow office, you’ll collaborate closely with commercial leaders across regions to drive global growth.

A snapshot of what you will be doing here:As the Commercial Director, you will:
- Drive revenue growth:
- Build and nurture relationships with key and new customers.
- Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with TCR’s goals.
- Grow a sustainable, profitable commercial pipeline.
- Lead and develop a high-performing commercial team.
- Manage Key Accounts:
- Oversee a best-in-class Key Account Management (KAM) structure.
- Provide training and guidance to Key Account Managers.
- Conduct regular customer surveys and translate feedback into actionable business opportunities.
- Utilise opportunities to enhance our client offering and client satisfaction.
- Ensure operational excellence:
- Take ownership of commercial projects from start to finish.
- Collaborate with fleet and operations teams to define service level agreements and exceed client expectations.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to ensure the customer proposition is best in class.
- Identify potential risks in commercial operations, including financial, contractual, and market risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Optimize commercial processes:
- Lead and support a team focused on performance and continuous improvement.
- Implement efficient processes based on simplicity, standardisation, and automation.
- Manage and negotiate contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and profitability.
- Build business cases to support new and existing business.
- Work closely with TCR experts across the globe to share best practices with a continual improvement mindset at heart.
- Has strong commercial acumen and an analytical mindset.
- Demonstrates exceptional leadership skills.
- Is results-driven with a proven ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Can manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Has excellent communication skills, capable of building partnerships at all levels.
- Has experience in the commercial sector, particularly in asset solutions.
- Demonstrates strong stakeholder engagement and customer focus.
- Is willing to travel across the UK and Ireland (approximately 20%).
