London, United Kingdom Wood Thilsted Full time

Together, through unmatched engineering and collaborative teamwork, we can shape a brighter future for our planet. Wood Thilsted is designing the global transition to green energy. We’re offshore wind engineering experts, and we invite you to join us.

Ours is a purpose-driven company. Our engineering helps speed the transition towards a greener planet Earth, with the wellbeing of our employees being every bit as vital. People and planet go hand in hand – we’re in business to look after both.

Through better, greener design, we’re in the field optimising wind farms to limit their carbon emissions. Thus far, we’ve been successful in attracting the most competent and experienced design specialists in the world, those passionate about working in the wind industry. And it’s very much a global operation. We support projects throughout Asia, North America, and Northern Europe, with continued growth foreseen. There’s more than 200 staff, working within the UK, USA, Denmark, Poland, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.

As a company, we strive for two things: Technical excellence, and to provide the best overall value to our clients. As a culture, knowledge sharing, mutual trust and a great social atmosphere is key. Wood Thilsted is a truly exciting company to work for, something we’re most proud of.

Due to the success and growth of the company, we’re now seeking a Regional Leader for our Asian business. Regional Leader for the APAC region will be a key part of Wood Thilsted's Senior Leadership team. Role will be based in either South Korea, Taiwan, or Japan with expectation of travel between these countries

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the Regional APAC Strategy aligned to our growth plans,
  • Ensure overall revenue delivery across regional countries including Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Australia,
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers in the delivery of both tender and sales opportunities within the regional area,
  • Provide support and coach country leaders in the development of single country accounts,
  • Oversee the wider regional pipeline in line with the regional strategy, ensuring effective support from the and tender team,
  • Review and develop our regional strategy and the country portfolio to align with our growth aspirations,
  • Support Account Managers in establishing local connections in Key Accounts,
  • Offer a holistic regional view in the leadership team to ensure alignment between country markets, accounts, and delivery expertise,
  • Act as a Key Account role representative (either globally or locally) or deliver to clients,
  • Serve as a Voice of Wood Thilsted in the region with our clients and stakeholders therefore requiring travel/geographic flexibility.

Experience

  • Client development in the consultancy sector, with large programme sales success,
  • Ideally Preference for offshore wind exposure, however other aligned sectors such as energy and construction sectors will be considered,
  • Experience working in APAC with a strong understanding of local country requirements in our operating markets.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the engineering consultancy sector, however wider programme led consultancy experience considered.

In return, we offer excellent opportunities and a chance to deepen your competency and expertise. You’ll be continually involved in exciting and dynamic projects, in an inclusive environment where everyone is encouraged to be themselves – and be their best. We offer a competitive salary package, a great pension, both health and life insurance, as well as flexibility around where you work and when. We understand that the best talent isn't always available full-time, so we welcome discussions about flexible working during the interview process. Our values are at the heart of everything we do. We are result-orientated, innovation-driven and committed to a brighter future.

Please apply at careers site where you can upload your CV and enter your details for consideration. Attaching a cover letter to your application is not needed. Instead, include a few sentences in your resume/CV briefly explaining your motivation for applying. To maintain a fair recruitment process, please do not add a photo to your CV. We look forward to hearing from you.

We are dedicated to an inclusive hiring process and providing equal opportunities for all our job candidates. We are happy to accommodate any adjustments you may need during the application and hiring process. While this job opening does not have a fixed deadline, please make sure that you apply as soon as possible. We are going to close the application as soon as we get enough candidates.

At Wood Thilsted, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment where you feel you belong. We believe that diversity drives excellence and makes us stronger. We are committed to building a culture of inclusion where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents. We strive to create a workplace that is free from discrimination and bias, where all employees have equal opportunities for growth and advancement.
