We are looking for a candidate who is well-versed in the Kenyan, Ugandan or Tanzanian communities in the United Kingdom. The position would be ideal for someone who has worked in a Business Development role within insurance, franchise, sales agent, distributor, or merchant network.

The key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to:
Recruiting and managing teams of field-based sales executives serving the target Kenyan, Ugandan and Tanzanian diaspora communities in the UK.
Exhibiting and promoting the business at events/festivals by the target communities.
Building relationships with key figures in the communities.
Recruiting brand ambassadors, influencers and leads generators.
Personal account and sales responsibility.
Identify opportunities for improvement, drive efficiencies and improve competitiveness Report on the daily performance of the team.
Destiny Finance Ltd t/a Diaspora Insurance is a UK-based insurance company that specializes in the design, marketing, and distribution of insurance products and risk management solutions to African nationals living and working in developed markets such as the UK, EU, North America, and Canada. The key skills and qualities of a Business Development Manager are:
Minimum of NVQ in Business Admin, Sales or Marketing.
A marketing degree or a CII or any insurance qualification would be an advantage Business Development: at least 3 years (Required).
Experience in promoting business through social media & online platforms like Facebook, Google, Twitter, YouTube, online TV/newspapers Knowledge of the Kenyan, Ugandan or Tanzanian diasporas in the UK. Experience in working in the insurance/financial services industry.
Experience in working with community groups.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
