Cooneen Group are hiring the position of Business Transformation Lead to work at a Group Level from our Fivemiletown Head Office site. The successful person will work to Identify and lead large transformational projects covering business process, organizational structure and system changes; support a lean operating model, and profitable business growth. Responsibilities

  1. Leader of business change, best in class operating models and lean/modern ways of working.
  2. Responsible for developing strategies in conjunction with all functional Directors to improve the overall efficiency of the group.
  3. Provide support to Directors and Senior managers in drafting business cases for new business improvement projects in a structured and prioritized manner.
  4. Challenge the status quo, “we have always done it that way” and support introduction of best practices, lean operating models/ modern ways of working in all functional areas and managing interdepartmental hand overs.
  5. Identifies business systems/applications that resolve business issues through the elimination of waste and non-value add activities.
  6. Identify, scope, gather consensus and project manage initiatives which support business growth without disproportionate head count growth.
  7. Establish and communicate project goals and manage project team activities including Analysis, Design, Execute and controlling the closing of the project to deliver expected business benefit.
  8. Manage the relationship between Business Transformation/IT and the business ensuring activities are aligned with business priorities and group strategy.
  9. Be an advocate for lean business operations in meetings highlighting areas of existing waste or potential future waste.
  10. Track the progress of project/change activities and deliverables to project benefits.
  11. Support small and large change initiatives being an advocate for continuous improvement.
  12. Manage a small team to analyze and optimize the inter-relationships between business processes, procedures, systems, interfaces and organizational structures.

  • Able to demonstrate significant experience in a similar role, eg Business Analyst; Process engineer; Functional Consultant; Continuous Improvement; Business Transformation.
  • Able to demonstrate “commercial mindset”
  • Possess a broad mix of business and process skills, which may include;
  • Previous experience in, investigating processes, people and systems to gather information and develop a business case.
  • Experience in Base line/ process mapping AS-IS identifying areas of waste/improvement opportunities.
  • Project/Program management experience
  • Implementing applications/ business systems
  • Demonstrating return on investment and business benefit delivered
Desirable
  • BSc in Business Studies or related subjects.
  • Manufacturing and support function experience.
  • Experience of planning, gaining buy-in and rolling out new business processes, organizational structural changes and software.
  • Process benchmarking i.e APQC
  • Knowledge of the apparel industry
  • Project management training/certification
  • Lean qualification.
