Fertiliser Sales Development - Southern Europe
To find and develop new sales within Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece selling specialist fertilisers into the sports turf, horticultural, retail, and associated markets and to then manage and develop those customer accounts as well as to cultivate existing clientele.
Location: Home based with travel across Southern Europe
Salary Package: £42,000 basic salary with OTE of £60,000 + Company Car / Car Allowance + Bonus + 24 days holiday
To develop and manage specialist fertiliser distributor sales accounts within Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece.
Develop and present credible customer facing sales materials.
The job holder will report to the Sales and Marketing Director
Travelling assigned territories to directly meet with potential and new clients.
Being bilingual in Spanish and/or Italian or Portuguese (in both spoken and written communications) is a highly preferred skill for this position in addition to be able to communicate effectively in English. The job holder will demonstrate a keen desire to be successful in the sales role and in providing valued and honest technical advice to clients. Experience in a sales environment is essential, a background in the fertiliser or sports turf market would both be an advantage. Where necessary, education and training will be provided to enhance skills. They also need to have the ability to build credible local contacts.
Most importantly, the job holder must have the right attitude and ethos to both be respected by the customer for honest integrity and technical expertise, as well as fit into a tightknit high performing sales team.
The job holder needs to develop and understanding the dynamics of the targeted markets including trade barriers -legal, financial, and non-financial. This will include supporting the registration of products in selected countries and support in dealing with local customs officials. It is possible that Spanish sales may act as a bridge to the South American market.
In addition, it is expected that the job holder will actively contribute to the development of online material for the Academy.
Must be happy to travel across their sales region to develop or service overseas markets.
You will have a commercial desire that aligns with the company aims to quickly increase profitable sales, through the provision of high-quality products and superior customer service.
A current driving licence is essential.
