This role will form a key part of the Operations team working collaboratively with the Event Operations Leadership team. The Operations Manager will be accountable for the planning and operational delivery of event cover within their region/designated customers ensuring safe, effective, high quality medical provision at events in line with key objectives and regulations. They are the part of the regional leadership team and report to the Head of Event Operations.

As one of the country’s best-loved charities, St John Ambulance played a pivotal role in responding to the pandemic as well as ‘everyday’ health emergencies, training, supporting communities, and improving young people’s lives.
This role will form a key part of the Operations team working collaboratively with the Event Operations Leadership team. The Operations Manager will be accountable for the planning and operational delivery of event cover within their region/designated customers ensuring safe, effective, high quality medical provision at events in line with key objectives and regulations. They are the part of the regional leadership team and report to the Head of Event Operations.

Knowledge of event industry best practice/compliance/regulatory requirements
Experience of managing budgets and implementing cost control measures to enable successful achievement of forecasted business performance
internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing
Experience in building and leading high-quality result focused teams
Lead planning of event medical and first aid cover within their region / designated customers whilst ensuring regional compliance with national standards, internal policies and event legal requirements.
Ensure that costs, budgets and finances for events are managed effectively with a focus on minimising unnecessary expenditure.
Drive the implementation of the Health and Volunteering Business Plan within the Event Operations Team and champion awareness across Regional networks.
