Spink an international auction house specializing in Stamps, Coins, Banknotes, Medals, Autographs, Wine & Spirits and Books. Since its establishment in 1666, Spink has built a reputation for tradition, experience, and integrity. With offices in London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Switzerland, Spink holds over 70 auctions annually and serves collectors globally.
Scanning and Photography position
Primary objective of the role is to scan and photograph lots for auctions and for promotional use of images. Scanning would be of mostly stamps, banknotes, occasionally historical documents and photography of coins and medals. The candidate would liaise directly with the specialist departments planning work in advance to achieve deadlines for upload of auctions, while reporting to the Head of Auction Team.
It is required that the candidate is:
- highly organised
- self-motivated
- adheres to the deadlines
- handles various deadlines for a number of projects
- can prioritise work depending on urgency of the project
- handles items with utmost care
Skills required:
- Adobe Photoshop (basic knowledge would be sufficient, further training provided)
- Scanning (training provided)
- Editing of images (cropping, resizing etc)
- Photography (some experience needed, further training and equipment provided)
