Job Title: Product Photographer and Retoucher

About the Role:

Hawes and Curtis is seeking a skilled Product Photographer and Retoucher to join our in-house Studio & Production Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality visual content that meets our brand's standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and shoot a variety of products, including jewelry, to meet our brand's visual requirements.
  • Retouch images to a high standard, ensuring consistency and accuracy in both quality and quantity.
  • Ensure color consistency and correction on images, guaranteeing they accurately represent the product.
  • Maintain digital asset files, following our workflow procedure and organizational structure.
  • Crop images and adhere to file size specification guidelines.
  • Perform quality assurance on all images to ensure they meet our brand's standards.
  • Meet daily and weekly deadlines, demonstrating initiative and creativity within a team environment.
  • Carry out ad hoc duties for the studio, working collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless product distribution.
  • Maintain the digital asset library and integrity of folder structures.
  • Verify that all files adhere to asset naming conventions.
  • Liaise with 3rd-party suppliers and freelance contributors when required.
  • Support team administration tasks and coordination, as well as workload during periods of annual leave.
  • Support the Senior Photographer on set when required.
  • Occasionally participate in Ecommerce photography.

Requirements:

  • A strong and confident communicator.
  • An excellent working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong retouching techniques and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation to hit deadlines and initiative to work as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of color correction and correction.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently on a high volume of images to meet deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of photography and lighting equipment.
  • Excellent punctuality record.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Education qualification to degree level in photography or equivalent.
  • Experience in retouching and shooting product photography.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, friendly studio environment dealing with still life, mannequin, and flat lay apparel photography.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience working in an e-commerce studio.
