WeDoData are working exclusively with a leading independent school in Somerset who have an exciting opportunity for an Examinations Officer. All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying. This is a highly prestigious private school with beautiful campuses where term time is condensed to 32 weeks/year compared with the state school year of 39 weeks. The role is being offered on a term time only basis (TTO) plus 4 additional weeks which takes the role up to 36 weeks/year. Role responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple databases
  • Liaising with examination boards, parents, staff
  • Keeping track of data for internal and external reports
  • Ensuring compliance with Exam boards (i.e. JCQ)
  • Reports for assessment and analysis
  • Completing administration for internal and external reports
  • Planning for internal and external Examinations including entries/registers/seating plans
  • Management of a team of invigilators
  • Management of exams budgets
Successful candidates should have:
  • Experience with School Management Information Systems (e.g. iSAMS, SIMS, Bromcom, Arbor)
  • Experience with Timetabling
  • Excellent IT and administrative skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong team leadership and project management skills
The following would be highly advantageous:
  • Experience using iSAMS
  • Previous management experience
  • Previous experience working within an independent secondary school in a relevant Examinations role
