The role as a Finance Apprentice:

We’re looking for a Finance Apprentice to join our growing finance team. This is an opportunity for someone who is looking to develop within finance and learn in an all-rounded finance position. We are offering formal training with this role and you will have the opportunity to combine learning with on the job training and gain a professional qualification of Level 2 AAT Finance Apprenticeship.

The role is available to start immediately where you will gain the opportunity to learn on the job and you will then be enrolled onto the apprenticeship program from September 2024, where you will then attend a local college one day a week on a modular and exam-based qualification course.

Main responsibilities:

  • You will gain experience across a broad range of accounts and finance related activities such as purchase ledger, transaction input, ordering supplies, preparing payment runs, assisting with sales ledger - raising invoices, credit chasing and dealing with any queries.
  • As a Finance Support Exec, you’ll work closely with the business operations team to deliver general administrative duties, including covering reception for busier periods and covering for holidays. 
  • Complete an external qualification so you must be able to balance your workload with completing assignments.
  • As well as completing any other responsibilities relating to the role.
  • To be successful in this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has a keen interest in a career in finance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail and a good problem solver.

  • Are enthusiastic about building a brilliant career at a business that is growing.

Entry requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs grade 4 and above including English and Maths
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Ability to work from our office in Salford Quays on a daily basis 
  • One day a week studying at a local college
