The Growth Company’s Business Growth Hub are looking for a Finance Administrator who will support the Operations Finance Team with a range of administrative and data/document management duties to enable timely, efficient and accurate compilation of funder claims and to ensure that documents, verification samples and audit evidence are compiled in a timely and accurate manner.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with data collection, analysis and query investigations to support the Operations Team’s objectives
- Compilation of claim evidence, sourcing and referencing key documents to ensure a fully compliant audit trail is provided to support the eligible values claimed
- Supporting the Senior Finance Officer and Project Accountants in compiling documentary evidence for claim verification sample checks and other ad-hoc/statutory audits
- Support in reviewing, updating and maintaining a live Staffing/Teams List
- Maintaining tracking and monitoring systems for timesheet completion and approval ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Managing the Credit card and Corporate Travel document control processes, effectively maintain the credit card log and verifying supporting documents to ensure expenditure is appropriate and evidenced to meet contractual requirements
- Raising and monitoring of Purchase Orders and Sales Orders using Unit4 (accounting software)
- Supporting with Transfer Journal inputting and checks
- Weekly/monthly archiving of key financial reporting tools
- Undertake general administration tasks such as printing, copying, filing, meeting room and travel arrangements which support the efficient and effective undertakings of the Operations Finance team.
- Assisting Senior Finance Officer to process inter project/Group recharges and checking supporting backing evidence for incoming recharges
- Support Project Accountants in preparing and maintaining template documents and reports to maintain consistency across all projects whilst meeting funder requirements

**About You**
- Strong education, particularly English and Math’s or experience/qualifications to demonstrate skills in this regard
- Basic knowledge of financial processes (desirable)
- Ability to work effectively with others to meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Keen to develop and learn new finance/accounting skills

**Skills Required**:

- Systematic and efficient approach to administrative tasks
- High level of attention to detail and strong commitment to high quality work
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, professional environment where accuracy and high quality standards are the norm.
- An organised and focused approach, with ability to manage multiple tasks
- Able to clearly interpret and manipulate complex data sets.
- Experience of working in a financial environment (desirable)
- Experience of successfully carrying out an effective administrative support function requiring an organised and efficient approach.
- Experience of working in a busy, professional environment whilst meeting deadlines (desirable)

**Please note this may be an Apprentice role, where one day per week is ringfenced for training towards a finance qualification**
