Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Registered Manager - Children's Residential Services located in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. The role involves managing a residential care home for children and young people, ensuring quality care is provided, and maintaining statutory and regulatory compliance. The Registered Manager is also responsible for supporting and supervising staff, communicating effectively with families, and creating a positive and inclusive environment for the children and young people in care.

Qualifications

  • Registered Manager's Award or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
  • Experience in managing and supervising staff in a social care setting
  • Good understanding of the Children Act 1989 and the Care Standards Act 2000
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with young people, families, and other professionals
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Able to manage budgets and resources efficiently
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems and software
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on one's own initiative
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is desirable but not essential.
