Role OverviewAs a Systems Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimising my client's computer networks. Your responsibilities will span troubleshooting, system security, and user support. If you're passionate about network reliability and security, this position is an excellent fit.You must be able to work autonomously using your own initiative and have good attention to detail. As you will be working with staff and students, you must be able to build good working relationships at all levels and demonstrate a proactive and flexible 'can-do' attitude. Excellent oral and written communication skills will be important to communicate technical information to non-technical staff.

As a Systems Specialist, you will…

Network Maintenance and Upgrades
Maintain and monitor network performance.
Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
Ensure responsive, accessible, and reliable technical support for all users.
Prioritise system security.Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:

Diagnose issues across ICT systems (network, servers, hardware, software).
Swiftly address user-reported problems.
Implement robust security measures.Deployment and Configuration:

Plan and execute ICT system delivery, configuration, and deployment.
Install software, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure.Project Support:Collaborate on technology-led projects for teaching, learning, and business support.User Support:

Provide timely assistance to staff and students.
Manage fault and request logs.Budgeting and Planning:

Work with the ICT Manager to develop yearly operational budgets.
