Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join their team. You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of their UK group of companies, including a holding company and three subsidiaries.What you'll do:Ensure reliable financial administration, including monthly and annual closing.Provide insightful analysis, budgets, and management reports, identifying opportunities and threats for the business.Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements and handle tax matters.Lead and mentor the client's finance and administration team, fostering their continuous development.Deliver impactful presentations on financial performance and business forecasts to the board.Contribute to improved business performance through financial analysis and strategic recommendations.Evaluate business cases, investment proposals, and revenue models.Leverage Business Intelligence to unearth opportunities and risks.Organise planning and control cycles, composing monthly forecasts.Manage and develop the client's finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA accountant with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Financial Controller.Proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.Working knowledge of IFRS, CIS, VAT and Payroll.
