Content Marketing Lead

Job Description
Our client, a high-growth Data AI business focusing on Business Intelligence, is looking to expand its small but high calibre team by adding its first Marketing hire to the senior ranks to build out its Content Marketing function. Having recently closed a sizeable seed funding round, they find themselves at an interesting growth point and this hire has the opportunity to really make a difference and build out the Marketing function in the future.
Role
- Initially, the role will involve a fact-finding approach aimed at uncovering the most effective methods to captivate the company’s target audience across various channels.
- Content Strategy
- Develop, implement, and enhance the content marketing and editorial strategy to establish the company’s brand as the premier Business Intelligence tool for non-technical users and expand our sales pipeline.
- Work alongside the CEO to manage the marketing budget.
- Establish and optimise SEO strategy
- Content Creation
- Produce high-quality, captivating, and fitting content across diverse channels such as blog posts, articles, email campaigns, newsletters, and beyond.
- Work closely with team members across the business to generate content for integrated campaigns.
- Engage with subject matter experts and practitioners to collect insights and develop interesting content.
- Content Distribution
- Execute impactful content distribution tactics to effectively engage the company’s target audience, including skillful repurposing of content tailored for relevant channels.
- Oversee the management of all social media channels.
- Analytics and Reporting
- Continuously track and evaluate content performance utilising appropriate tools and metrics.
- Deliver routine reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and adapt strategies as needed to maximise growth.
- Fine-tune content for SEO to enhance search rankings
Requirements
- This role starts as an individual position and will gradually evolve into a managerial role and marketing leadership position as the business expands.
- You will be someone interested in crafting and overseeing all content strategy, while also actively producing content within that strategy. It's crucial for this person to be enthusiastic about both aspects of the role.
- You have experience with a technical product within saas or enterprise software
- You're well-versed in SEO dynamics and stay updated on Google's ever-changing algorithms.
- You remain abreast of emerging technologies like ChatGPT and maintain decisive perspectives—whether pro or con—regarding their influence on Content Marketing. You're eager to exploit these technologies for our benefit, securing our place as innovators and maximising their potential to enrich and advance our content strategies.
- Your approach is deeply analytical and data-centric, enabling you to adeptly oversee numerous intricate facets of the marketing workflow, and deliver stakeholders with numerical updates.
- You will possess outstanding writing and editing proficiency, capable of flexibly adjusting content to suit various styles and tones.
- You're exceptionally resourceful and hands-on, willing to dive into any task.
- You exhibit a friendly demeanour and thrive in a diverse team environment, where members bring varied skills and backgrounds.
