Our Cargo & Logistics Claims team are now looking to recruit a Marine Cargo Claims Handler to join our dynamic and expanding team.
The successful candidate will have solid experience of negotiating complex claims including cargo, commodity trading and logistics.


You will be handling a variety of claims and responsible for managing your own allocated portfolio of accounts.
You will be handling claims arising from a broad mix of industries including automobile physical damage, carriers’/warehouse legal liability, contractors' equipment, motor truck cargo, primary and excess stock, project cargo including delay in start-up/consequential loss, stock throughput and sub-sea and offshore equipment.
You will be handling claims from first advice to final settlement, to include setting up first advice, processing and managing subsequent movements on Lockton internal claims systems / ECF / Class.
You will be required to meet the agreed Service Standards, volumes and performance levels in line with the Key Performance Indicators and handle claims efficiently in a proactive manner through physical and/or electronic broking, negotiations & management of claims payment process.
For key accounts you will be responsible for maintaining the claims relationship, including regular calls, and provision of claims reports to clients and the management of Insurers.
Extensive experience in marine cargo claims experience.
Some knowledge of policy coverage and associated benefits and exclusions.
Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, networking, influencing and negotiation skills
Excellent use of standard Microsoft applications
