Marine Cargo Claims Handler

We are seeking a skilled Marine Cargo Claims Handler to join our Cargo & Logistics Claims team at Lockton.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in negotiating complex claims, including cargo, commodity trading, and logistics. They will be responsible for handling a variety of claims and managing their own allocated portfolio of accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of policy coverage and associated benefits and exclusions. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to network, influence, and negotiate effectively.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Handling claims from first advice to final settlement
- Setting up first advice, processing, and managing subsequent movements on Lockton internal claims systems / ECF / Class
- Maintaining the claims relationship with key accounts, including regular calls and provision of claims reports to clients and management of insurers
- Meeting agreed Service Standards, volumes, and performance levels in line with Key Performance Indicators
