Role Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the role of Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, engage customers, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong CRM experience and have a deep understanding of email journeys and automations.

Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy and Planning :

  • Develop and Execute Marketing Plan : Create and implement a 12-month marketing plan aligned with the business's goals and objectives.
  • Identify Opportunities and Trends : Identify key marketing opportunities, seasonal trends, and industry events to drive effective campaigns.
  • Holistic Campaign Planning : Take a holistic approach to campaign planning, ensuring channels and the website are aligned.
  • Database Growth : Create initiatives aimed at driving data capture of relevant audiences, growing our database size across postal and email.

Marketing Channel Ownership:

  • Core Channels: Take responsibility for Email, Social Media and Direct Mail performance, driving activity, reporting on successes and continually improving.
  • Partnerships: Source and deliver partnerships with relevant brands to extend the reach of the brand amongst our target demographic.
  • Engagement: Plan and execute engaging competitions and contests to drive brand engagement and social media interaction.
  • Optimisation: Take a test and learn approach to marketing communications, continually optimising and improving performance.

Product and Supplier Campaigns

  • Product Marketing: Collaborate with Product and Commercial teams to ensure we're pushing the right product to the right customers and supporting our key partners.
  • Supplier income: Support the fulfilment of supplier-funded activities aimed at bringing in incremental revenue to the business, ensuring placements go out across channels on time.

Customer Experience and Loyalty:

  • Enhance Customer Journey : Optimise the post-booking customer journey to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless customer experiences at every touchpoint.
  • Loyalty Programs : Design, implement, and manage customer loyalty and rewards programmes to increase customer retention and engagement. Analyse data to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.

Offline Marketing and Reputation Management :

  • Offline Strategies : Work with the Head of Marketing to Develop and manage offline marketing strategies, including radio, TV, out-of-home (OOH), and Addressable TV (AdSmart) campaigns.
  • Online Reputation Management : Proactively manage the brand's online reputation and swiftly address any potential crises or negative publicity.

Creative Direction and Agency Management :

  • Agency Relationships : Manage relationships with creative/design agencies to ensure the timely and high-quality execution of design projects.
  • Creative Direction : Provide creative direction and feedback to maintain consistent brand messaging across channels.

Measurement of success:

  • Delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness and drive lead volume.
  • Improved metrics across owned channels (Email, Social Media and Direct Mail), including open and click through rates for email, reach and engagement rate for social media and booking address match for Direct Mail.
  • Deliver strong ROI across owned channels, managing budgets efficiently.
  • Database growth across online and postal.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience (5 years) in a marketing management role with a track record of successful campaign planning and execution.
  • Strong understanding of customer journey optimisation, loyalty programs, and campaign management.
  • Deep understanding of various marketing channels, specialising in Email Marketing, Social Media, and Direct Mail.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design aesthetics and brand consistency.
  • Experience in crisis management and reputation management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in relevant marketing tools and software, including Google Analytics, Excel and Tableau
  • Experience setting up automations and triggers in an ESP
  • Experience using Dot Digital or Fresh Relevance would be advantageous.
  • Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage agency relationships and internal teams effectively.
