A thriving team morale with strong social interactions.Accounts Senior - Responsibilities Producing statutory accounts under FRS 102, FRS 105 and IFRS and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Overseeing or directly handling clients' bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns. Responding to client inquiries on various accounting and tax issues, offering guidance, and maintaining relationships. Preparing and submitting corporation tax and personal tax returns, advising on tax planning strategies where relevant. Producing periodic management accounts and providing clients with financial insights to help with decision-making. Handling correspondence and compliance matters with HMRC on behalf of clients. Reviewing the work done by junior staff, including bookkeeping, accounts preparation, and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Providing training to junior team members and offering mentorship to help them develop their skills. Managing workloads within the team, delegating tasks based on skill levels, and ensuring deadlines are met.Accounts Senior - Requirements Proven work experience within practice. AAT qualified / part qualified or working towards ACCA or ACA qualification. Experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong data collection and analysis skills. Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs. Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail. Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
