This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leader in B2B publishing and conferences as a Senior Events Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns for a high-value global portfolio of international Conferences & Events, within the Global Technology sector.
There will also be opportunities to travel to these events in the US, Asia, Europe & Africa.
Ideally 4+ years of B2B Events marketing experience - mainly conferences
Team leadership experience / experience of managing a junior team member (this role will involve managing two junior marketers)
Preferably experience with exhibitions and membership / community marketing
Confident decision maker, with the ability to assess opportunities and risks and flag these to your line manager
Track record of successfully designing and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns
Experience using some of Marketo, Salesforce, Sprinkler, LinkedIn, Twitter, CMS systems, Canva, basic Photoshop, HTML creation
Working knowledge of Excel and Google Analytics
Experience in the commercialization of events including launch events
Ability to work closely with sales and align marketing strategy to commercial objectives
Thorough knowledge of customer analytics and ability to convert data into meaningful insight
Experience managing and developing high-performing marketing plans/projects. With complete post event/project reporting.
Willingness to develop knowledge both within the marketing discipline and the industries we serve
Experience in digital marketing techniques and channels
Establish a data-driven approach to strategic and tactical decision making
A proven record of testing, measuring and evaluating marketing channels to optimise spend and demonstrate ROI
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate performance metrics, challenges and opportunities to the event project team
Reporting to the Marketing Director, your responsibilities will be to:
delegate registration and attendance across brand groups
and execute integrated marketing campaigns (social, search, email, telemarketing, partnerships) to achieve conversion and attendee return.
SEO, CRO for event websites and develop data-driven pricing strategies.
inbound marketing transition with content campaigns, manage marketing database growth using Marketo.
performance across channels, optimize customer journey for all events.
social media strategy for brand awareness and engagement.
People Management & Financial Responsibility
& mentor junior marketers, aligning objectives with business goals.
event marketing budgets for optimal ROI.
with the events team to create and deliver marketing strategies.
regular reports (monthly) on performance across channels and events.
& copywriting & proofing for external marketing collateral. with Marketing Director, Event Programming, Brand Marketing Leads, Editorial & Content teams to achieve business goals.
