Our client, a local authority in Exeter, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Income Recovery Officer to join their Financial Services team in the Debt Recovery unit for a 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the recovery of outstanding debts. Monitoring and controlling customer accounts in arrears.
Initiating reminder letters and escalating recovery actions as appropriate.
Ensuring recovery procedures are proportionate and comply with regulatory requirements.
Understanding each customer's financial position to agree on sustainable payment arrangements.
Producing management reports on outstanding invoices and arrears analysis.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong skills in debt recovery and financial management. Experience in managing customer accounts in arrears.
Familiarity with debt recovery procedures and regulatory requirements.
Ability to assess financial positions and negotiate payment arrangements.
Proficiency in handling administrative tasks related to debt recovery.
