SEND Complaints Officer

Job description:
* Undertake Stage 1 Complaints investigations and responses in respect of SEND Services
* To track complaints through the Complaints Procedure - producing key data analysis/performance information reports
* To identify and present qualitative learning/key themes from Complaints and support the dissemination of this learning.
* To work with SEND Services to support the implementation of learning from Complaints.
Required skills:
* A sound knowledge and understanding of national and local policies, practices and procedures in relation to children’s social care and, in particular, statutory duties in relation to complaints and representations.
* Ability to communicate information about the service and to respond to queries, complaints, and requests for information.
* Ability to make sound professional and managerial judgements and the ability to handle competing priorities and a challenging workload.
* Computer literate to include the Microsoft office package and able to create reports and spreadsheet.
* In depth experience of SEND policy development, implementation, review of working with key stakeholders in the SEND process.
* Knowledge of SEND legislation.
* Knowledge of the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families and of child development.
This role is a maternity cover
Start Date : 10/06/2024
End Date : 30/08/2024
Start Time : 09:00
End Time : 17:00
Pay rate:
Basic - £16.67
Overtime - £20.01
Saturday - £19.17
Sunday - £21.67
