Responsibilities

Duties of the Care Coordinator – Recruitment Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering incoming calls in a positive, happy, professional, and pleasant manner making clients, staff and potential candidates feel special and important
  • Overall management and implementation of the recruitment strategy and process from enquiry to onboarding. Ensuring all applicants have full satisfactory references and DBS checks
  • Consulting with departments and identify staffing needs
  • Managing recruitment advertising across job boards, social media, and printed publications
  • Attending recruitment fairs, market stalls and community outreach events
  • Creating recruitment campaigns and initiatives
  • Being creative and thinking of ways outside the box to attract high quality applicants
  • Supporting and nurturing desirable candidates through the recruitment process
  • Ensuring new candidate personnel files are complete and compliant
  • Produce data from recruitment records to evaluate and improve our practice. Maintaining all recruitment records and data in line with GDPR
  • Contribute to staff retention
  • Participate in a share of the on-call rota out of hours
  • Promoting the good name of Westmorland Homecare in the community
  • Any other activities that may be necessary to meet the needs of the business

Skills and experience required for the role:

  • Pro active and innovative approach to recruitment in the Health and Social care sector
  • You must be comfortable delivering hands on care if required
  • You must have a good level of computer / IT proficiency
  • You must have a passion to help others, care for people and do something good for the community
  • You must have experience in the health or social care sector for this position
  • You must have an understanding of safeguarding procedures and protecting clients from harm or abuse
  • You must have a good understand of moving and handling procedures and various types of equipment
