The Director of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the engineering department, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products and services. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and collaboration across departments. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to align the engineering team with company goals.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability within the engineering department.

Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance productivity and product quality

Project Management:

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
Manage the allocation of resources to meet project deadlines and business priorities.
Establish best practices, coding standards, and development processes

Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent.
Identify and address skill gaps within the team and provide professional development opportunities.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Manage departmental budgets, including software, hardware, and staffing costs.
Optimize resource allocation and ensure cost-effective delivery of engineering solutions.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
~8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
~ Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
~ Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and best practices.
~ Deep knowledge of [relevant technologies, languages, and frameworks used by the company].
~ Experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
