Job Summary:
We are opening a new Indoor Leisure Club in Ashford Town that includes a full restaurant and Bar.
We are seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of our restaurant and bar operations. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader with a passion for the hospitality industry and a strong background in building a new restaurant business from scratch. You will report to our Group Manager but operations of the restaurant will be solely under your purview.
Duties:
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant
- Ensure high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety
- Develop and implement strategies to drive restaurant sales
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members including Chefs.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
- Take responsibility for drinks stocktaking and ordering to hit target GP%
- Deliver flawless Corporate Days & Private Events and tournaments.
- Financial reporting for the F&B department
- Working with the Group Manager to produce financial reporting for the Restaurant and Bar.
Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Numbers: the ability to work with an EPOS system and produce meaningful reports based on sales, GP%s and wage costs
- Food: An understanding of, and a passion for food which is local, seasonal, fresh and high quality
- Supervising: Experience in supervising staff members
- Team Management: Strong skills in team building and conflict resolution
- Bartending: Knowledge of bartending techniques is a plus
- Hospitality: Commitment to providing exceptional hospitality services
- Restaurant: Previous experience in restaurant management
