A leading charitable organisation are seeking a Sales Ledger Co-ordinator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will ensure that sales income is accurately invoiced, accounted for, collected, and reported. This role provides collaborative support to the Sales Department and requires a professional with strong accounting skills and a flexible, positive attitude.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Generate accurate sales invoices and transactions within the accounting system, ensuring they align with the traffic system data.
  • Reconcile sales invoicing across systems and to control accounts.
  • Collect debts effectively and sensitively, in close collaboration with the Sales team.
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc debtor statements and resolve client queries.
  • Operate the credit collection process and calculate the bad debt provision.
  • Post receipts from bank accounts into the debtor’s ledger and update credit control reports.
  • Reconcile Stripe receipts, bank accounts, and daily cashbook.
  • Prepare monthly sales commission calculations for review and approval.
  • Support other Finance areas, such as the purchase ledger, including transaction posting, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT or equivalent accountancy qualification, or qualified by experience.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a Sales Ledger role or similar.
  • Strong understanding of double entry, accounts structure, and journals.
  • Excellent accounting reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and be self-organised.
  • Effective communication skills and proficiency in writing clear copy.
  • Experience in the media or advertising industry is valuable.
  • Proficient in Excel and IT, with the ability to quickly learn new software packages.
