Senior Facilities Manager

The Opportunity

As the senior facilities manager for the organisation’s UK real estate portfolio, you will lead a team to own and manage multiple properties across Forsevens UK operations. Working with multiple stakeholders, service vendors and partners, you will deliver outstanding support and service to a growing business to enable and protect the operational requirements of the business. Your day-to-day work will be varied and challenging delivering consistent processes, services and strategies across the real estate portfolio to support company culture and growth.

What you'll do

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the entire UK estate portfolio, encompassing variousfacilitiesand a team ofFacilitiesManagers.
  • Develop and implement comprehensivefacilitymanagement strategies that align with organisational objectives and industry best practices.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities ofFacilitiesManagers, ensuring all buildings within the estate are maintained to high standards.
  • Liaise with senior management to inform and advise on all matters relating to the physical operation and condition of the estate portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with the compliance team and external regulatory bodies to ensure that allfacilitiesacross the UK estate adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards, maintaining a safe, compliant, and regulated working environment for employees and visitors.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with service providers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality services are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Lead the development and monitoring of budgets forfacilityoperations, preventative programs, and long-term planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across allfacilities, promoting innovation and sustainable practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated issues relating tofacilityoperations, maintenance, and team management.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and collaboration within thefacilitiesmanagement team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure emergency preparedness and crisis management plans are in place and regularly reviewed across all sites.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of thefacilitiesmanagement team, setting objectives and key performance indicators to assess and improve service delivery.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to oversee operations across various locations and be available for emergency response as needed.

Who you are

  • Experienced in a leadership role in Facilities Management
  • Proven experience in developing Facilities Management functions and teams
  • Strong leadership/people management skills
  • Experience in managing a distributed property portfolio
  • Experience working in facilities or estate management for a minimum of 12 years.
  • To have an engineering background with a sound understanding of M&E, Critical infrastructure, contract management, PPM’s & local authority engagement.
  • Demonstrable experience managing third parties & contract services.
  • Willing to work flexibly, in person, across each of Forsevens sites.
  • A proactive self-starter who takes initiative in solving complex and high priority issues.
  • Hold a valid driving licence.
