The Firm:

We have been mandated by a boutique Real Estate Investment Bank and Advisory firm based in London. A well-respected, high quality advisory house, over the past 15 years, they have established themselves as a trusted, sophisticated advisor in the market, providing invaluable advice to some of Europe’s largest and most established Real Estate Investment funds.

Clients sit across a range of financial institutions, including: private equity firms, HNWs, family offices, state government agencies, hedge funds and other real estate investors & developers, lenders and participants, etc.

Job Overview:

Our client are looking to hire an experienced Real Estate Debt Advisory Associate to join their lean team. This individual will work closely with the senior members of the team and play a crucial role in advising clients on debt-related matters, including restructurings, debt arrangements, and buy and sell-side advisory. This associate will be expected to have a strong autonomous working style, high level of financial literacy, and proven experience in the Real Estate Debt market.

They are a small team, who work with some of the top names in the industry across Finance, Private Equity and Real Estate. They have consistently high deal flow and manage ongoing relationships with top clients, with whom they do lots of repeat work.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on deal execution support across real estate debt advisory mandates (primarily debt arranging transactions)
  • Financial modelling (cash-flow valuations)
  • Client and lender relationship management
  • Transaction-led Market Research
  • Due diligence reports
  • Preparation of lender materials, marketing materials
  • Real Estate Finance Documentation handling (engagement letters, NDAs)
  • Database Maintenance

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong quantitative / financial modelling skill set
  • Existing experience in real estate debt (either advisory or lending)
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to motivate, influence and manage third parties to achieve best in class results
  • Project management skills, with the ability to multi-task, operate to tight deadlines and handle high volume and detail, whilst maintaining a “hands-on” approach
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong work ethic
