We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Consultant to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in implementing and managing security solutions, particularly with NextLabs and Boldon James.


This role involves consulting with clients, assessing their security needs, designing and implementing security measures, and providing ongoing support and optimisation of security solutions.


Due to the nature of the work, the candidate MUST possess ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Assessments: Conduct comprehensive security assessments for clients to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and compliance gaps.
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and implement security solutions with a strong focus on NextLabs and Boldon James.
  • Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their security requirements, provide expert advice, and recommend appropriate security measures.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data protection and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Support: Provide training to clients on the use and management of security solutions. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor security systems, analyse incidents, and generate reports to inform clients about their security posture and recommend improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other security professionals, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to security across the organization.
  • Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices. Continuously improve skills and knowledge in the field of cyber security.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on data protection and security solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of NextLabs and Boldon James security solutions, including policy management, data classification, and user provisioning.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Advanced certifications in cyber security (e.g., NextLabs Certified Professional, Boldon James Certification).
  • Industry Experience: Experience in consulting for various industries, such as finance, healthcare, or government sectors.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within specified timelines.
