Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our HR function and contributing to the delivery of our ambitious people objectives. This will be a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in HR within a dynamic and growing organisation.


Duties

  • Assist the Head of Human Resources in the delivery of the strategic objectives of the MiAlgae people plan.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters, escalating more complex issues where necessary.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes including posting vacancies, scheduling interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities.
  • Handle day-to-day HR administration, including maintaining employee records and managing documentation for onboarding and offboarding.
  • Assist in the review and maintenance of company policies, procedures, and the staff handbook to ensure compliance with current employment legislation and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees in applying these policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support for payroll processes.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of employee engagement initiatives and training sessions.
  • Support the management of employee relations casework.
  • Assist with the administration and coordination of Graduate and Apprenticeship schemes.


About You

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with a passion for HR and supporting people. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their HR Career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

You will be a self-motivated individual who works effectively under their own autonomy, as well as within a team.


Experience:

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably within a Human Resources environment
  • Basic knowledge of HR practices and employment law. e.g., recruitment and selection, absence, recording, training and development, employee relations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and detail-orientated with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Familiarity with HR systems is a plus.
  • A CIPD qualification or working towards one is desirable but non-essential
