Role Description
This is a contract hybrid role for a Children and Young People's Mental Health Practitioner at SPARK. The role involves providing day-to-day support and intervention for the mental well-being of children, teenagers, and young adults. While the role is primarily located in Ware, there is flexibility for some remote work, and there may be a request to travel around the area and be based in schools in the future.
Essential Criteria
- Based in the UK and ideally in or near the East Hertfordshire area
- Certifications in relevant mental health interventions
- Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.
- Knowledge of child development, mental health disorders, and evidence-based interventions for CYP.
- An Enhanced DBS that covers Adult and Child workforce (or a willingness to get one).
Desirable Criteria
- Professional qualification in a relevant mental health discipline (e.g., mental health nursing, social work, occupational therapy, psychology, coaching, counselling).
- Ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop effective care plans.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and engagement skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to CYP mental health and safeguarding.
- A full driver's licence and access to a car.
Contract Type
The person(s) appointed will be done so on a freelance basis. You will be responsible for ensuring you pay your own
Compensation
The compensation for this role is competitive and is expected to be around £150 per day.
