We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Psychology & Criminology Graduate to join our team as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant in one of our SEN schools in Ware and surrounding areas.
Salary: The salary for this role is £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate in Psychology & Criminology to kick-start their career in the education sector. As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the clinical departments in our school to provide education and training to children with wide-ranging educational and social needs.
Your key responsibilities will include supporting teaching and learning activities, working with small groups or individually with pupils, and assisting with personal care where necessary. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in de-escalation techniques and language around mental health.
Requirements:
- Degree in Psychology & Criminology or related field
- Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain)
- Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification at Level 2 or above
- Passion for working with children and young people with SEN
- Local commute to Ware and surrounding areas
