Blush & Bloom are working in exclusive partnership with a leading personal care manufacturer to identify a Head of Operations to join their team. In the past few years, this organisation has experienced significant growth and as such, they are now recruiting this brand new role to support this


The Head of Operations will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for driving business performance, improving service, and building capacity. This role encompasses overseeing sales revenue delivery through production, quality, maintenance, and purchasing teams. The role holder will continue to enhance key metrics such as safety, quality, cost, delivery, and inventory.


This role is ideal for a proven Operations, Manufacturing, or Production Manager looking to advance into a senior role, or an experienced leader with a background in running factory operations. The successful candidate will have manufacturing experience, ideally in personal care or a similar field, with experience in team development, leading change, operational excellence, and system implementation or improvements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent leadership to operational teams.
  • Effective P&L management with a focus on capacity management, cost control, and increasing factory output and efficiencies.
  • Develop a strong relationship with the Commercial Director and contribute to the broader business strategy as part of the leadership team.
  • Focus on processes and quality to ensure exceptional service to customers.
  • Develop systems to ensure streamlined operations and continuous improvement.
  • Be a motivational leader focused on developing a high-performing team.
  • Understand the importance of workplace safety.


Key Requirements:

  • Experience with small run sizes, customisation, and regular line changeovers is highly advantageous.
  • Essential skills include operational excellence, financial acumen, a desire to shape business direction, and strong people skills.
  • Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent), the successful candidate must be a strong leader, embrace change, be an excellent communicator, and be highly driven.
